Buying advice for iMac 27"

After waiting 2 years for an upgrade to the 2013 Mac Pro, I've decided to settle for an iMac 27". Read some reviews that suggest the fastest 2015 iMac27" 4.0GHZ with 64GB of ram is actually faster than the Mac Pro 2013 when working on 20GB files in Photoshop. Is this the general consensus?

As I was trying to buy this 4.0 GHZ iMac 27" though, I don't see it for sale at either Apple.com or my local computer store. I only see a 3.3GHz version. Apple.com also says the max RAM you can install is 32GB. I do see 30 different versions of a 4.0GHZ on B&H though, but how do I ensure I get the very fastest maxed out iMac 27" available? Fastest processor, most ram, fastest hard drive etc. etc. etc.

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

Apple does not officially support 64GB, so buy the computer with the base RAM of 8GB and then upgrade yourself using OWC (www.macsales.com) RAM. Apple only officially supports 32GB.

If you want the fastest, don't get a hard drive. Purchase a SSD.

Also, because you don't state what you intend to use the computer for are you sure this isn't just a waste of money buying a maxed out iMac? Just asking.
